What I find in the first ten minutes, nearly every time
Before any talk of bidding, three things decide whether an account can make money at all. They are usually all three in the room.
- The conversions do not count what you sell. No purchase conversion, or one with no revenue attached, or the form that actually matters is not tracked. Until that is fixed, nobody can say which campaigns are profitable, including the person reporting on them.
- Google’s recommendations applied as though they were a plan. They are built to make you spend. A few of them help. Most raise the budget on the campaigns that already spend most, which is not the same thing as growth.
- Campaigns built without reference to your margins. Your best products and your best margins sit somewhere in the catalogue, and the structure has no idea which ones they are, so the budget spreads evenly over things that earn very differently.
How the work runs, in dated phases →
We start from the business, not from the account
The first call is about your products, your margins and where you want the business to be this year. The campaigns come after that, because a structure only makes sense once it knows what it is supposed to be protecting.
We also write down, together, what we are aiming at and how we will measure it. How that works, and what happens when it is skipped, is on the fit page.
What is costing you money
The five things that quietly drain an e-commerce account, and how the work runs from the diagnostic to the before-and-after at day 35.
Written on the page, not on request
A free first call, a diagnostic from 1,000 EUR, then from 1,200 EUR a month plus a share of the budget, so the fee grows only when the account does.
Two brands, and what changed in the money
Two takeovers, the mechanism named, the numbers as ratios on a stated basis, and what is still open on each.
One person runs your account. This one.
Eight years in paid search, most of it inside agencies, and the reason I work alone now.
What this does not do. Paid search is one acquisition channel. It will not fix a product nobody wants, it will not carry a brand on its own, and it does not replace the rest of the work. When it goes well, revenue moves faster than people expect. When someone promises you it will solve everything, they are selling.
Whether this is worth it for you
Built for e-commerce brands spending from about 5,000 EUR a month on Google Ads. Under 3,000 the fee becomes too large a share of the budget, and I will say so on the call rather than take it. No Google Ads yet? The setup is priced on its own, from 2,000 EUR.
